Held Momentarily

A short film musical made with Royal Academy of Music Musical Theatre graduates during the height of the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Six characters stranded on a stalled New York commuter train — held momentarily — filmed on students’ phones, edited and produced remotely.
The film grew out of constraint and made something of it. Green screen filmed on phones, editing and graphic design produced under lockdown restrictions, direction by Bruce Guthrie across digital connection. The result is a piece that carries its own making in it — which feels right for a story about being suspended somewhere between departure and arrival.
